Danica Sue Patrick (born on March 25, 1982) is a woman racing driver of
car in the Indy Racing League.
Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2005 in the category IRL Championship. In May 2006 published her autobiography, Danica: Crossing the Line.
Patrick began karting in the running in 1992 and won several national championships in kartings. He moved to England with 16 years thinking about improving their car race. After finishing high school earned a GED.
It has become a legend and the fastest woman in the world, to participate in the 500 miles from Indianapolis and leading some training in this test in the hands of a PANOZ Honda 650 hp.
On April 19, 2008, Patrick became the first woman to win a race of the IndyCar Series, after winning the 300 miles from Japan at Twin Ring Motegi oval. Patrick finished 5.8594 seconds ahead of Brazilian Helio Castroneves, who had led the race from the first round and lost the lead on lap 198, 200.
In one of his interviews, Patrick said: “Finally … after all this time,” said Patrick. “It was a race with a strategic use of fuel, but my team did a perfect job. I knew I had the same strategy that Helio and when it ahead to lead the race, I could not believe it. This is fabulous.”
