INDIAN WELLS .- She left the stadium as defeated, but acclaimed as a champion. Russian Maria Sharapova reappeared in the tennis tournament in Indian Wells after seven and a half months of absence due to injury without a trace of discomfort in his shoulder.

The pair-Russian Sharapova Jelena Vesnina fell Thursday night before Jekaterina Makarova and Tatiana Poutchek by 6-1, 4-6 and 7-10, although the result was not as important. “I feel good shoulder. I wanted to try it in a position to match. It was just a gathering of doubles, but it was good,” the Russian-held 21 years.

The winner of three Grand Slams and former world number one is one of the most popular female tennis player. Since July last year, the American public could only see it in ads televsión. The tennis player was injured the right shoulder in the tournament while playing for Montreal against Polish Marta Domachovska. Because of their illnesses or could not play the Olympics in Beijing and the U.S. Open. In mid-February an arthroscopy was performed with an uncertain outcome.
‘I am the nightmare of every medical’

“I am the nightmare of every doctor,” she said smiling, though the last few months were not very fun for the Russian. Hope and anxiety alternated as much as the days of pain and welfare.

During his days off from runways surprised tennis, but she learned to appreciate other facets of life. “It’s a blessing that you can play tennis. At this time I do well, while others suffer the consequences of the crisis. We should all be grateful for the opportunity to do that we want.”

Sharapova leaves the actual date of return. She had previously announced their participation in tournaments in Paris and Dubai, but finally had to resign. “I do not have a fixed timetable. Those times passed,” said the Russian.

So it is not clear its appearance in the tournament in Miami in late March. “I need one or two weeks playing two sets a day and I need to feel 100%. While I do not feel in shape, will not return to competition.”

Be the number 23 in the world cares so little as the premature removal of Indian Wells. For now, Nigun no problem being a mere spectator, but in September was different. During the U.S. Open was not a party or by despair, but in the Australia Open the thing changed. “I came even to stay awake until three o’clock to see the final between Federer and Nadal, which I do not normally”.
