* The Swiss completed the Grand Slam after beating Robin Soderling in a resigned
* Equals 14 Grand Slam of Pete Sampras in straight sets and only two hours of play
* Andre Agassi, the last champion of the four ‘big’ gave the trophy
PARIS .- Ni ‘Jimmy Jump’, the creep of barretina, devolved to Roger Federer on his way to his first Roland Garros title, to his appointment with the legend. Neither Robin Soderling upset the script. Their game plan, to the waist, was a gift for the Swiss. Without disheveled, won at last in his quarter final in Paris, the Musketeers Cup after a comfortable 6-1, 7-6 (1) and 6-4 in one hour and 55 minutes. You can now watch in front of Sampras, Laver, Agassi and company. [Narration and statistics]
The unique tennis Las Vegas, as required for specified occasion, presented the trophy to a course, tear champion. In victory or in defeat, Federer always cries. “Thanks for being here, Andre,” said the replacement of the Musketeers Cup to end in his hands. “You were the last to complete the Grand Slam. Now I know how it feels.” Like Agassi, Federer won in the French capital at the eleventh attempt.
After one more first round itself, the world number two, with options to regain first place in Wimbledon when Nadal finally arrives late for the event, matched the record of 14 ‘major’ which until now held in solitary Pete Sampras. The U.S. has achieved after 52 ‘majors’ dispute, over the thirty, while Federer sum 27 years and contested his 40th Grand Slam.
Also obtained the exclusive membership card for the club champions from the four most important tournaments in the world. Federer enters it as the sixth man after Fred Perry (1935), Donald Budge (1938), Rod Laver (1962), Roy Emerson (1964) and Andre Agassi (1999).
Without resources, beyond some modest increases in the network, tremendous Swedish tennis returned to a more heap in his first major final, with a tennis player who has only caught one after September 10 clashes. Only in the second part is sensed the new player, capable of rendering high on a surface which never stressed. Forced the game tiebreaker, but Federer then responded with four direct services in as many attempts. Incontestable.
During the remainder of the meeting, before and after, he merely comparsa Soderling at the party of the emperor, whom the storm, threatening throughout the end of this intermittently, but never enough to stop the duel, “nor would bother. “I have given a lesson in how to play tennis, Roger,” Soderling said at the ceremony, little affected by the defeat. “To me, you’re the best in history. You deserve this victory.”

Highlights of French Open final :

They were not 14 but 16 times when the U.S. fell sequentially to the ‘invincible’ at the time.
Federer, as in previous days, again to the left hates so much that in the past, once it became clear that it does not suffer much from the baseline to 11 after shares in Paris has learned how to suffer on the slow surface . Faced only two points of ‘break’ against, one in the fourth game of the third manga, resolved with a masterful right, and when pulled to close the game, solved thanks to an error by Soderling. Federer beats Soderling in Madrid – heavy legs and dubious service
May 13, 2009 by bumeral

Only Roger Federer fills the Magic Box. Only Roger Federer is to Rafael Nadal discusses role in the Madrid Open. Only Roger Federer can be complicated both for himself as steep as a party that has controlled the stock Tuesday to Robin Soderling (6-1 and 7-5). Even in its most dramatic evenings-the first set lasted 20 minutes, the Swiss continued to provide signs of weakness, signs of a drowsy, perhaps from lack of appetite. In a match without demands, Federer was erratic in reverse, heavy legs and dubious service. Facing Soderling, anything but a specialist on clay, the world number two because he did not answer him, and yet it was a service for concern: in the second race with a 3-2, handed out his with two double faults. The public celebrated in style. I wanted to party. Then, Federer put things in order. The night had come to Madrid, it had been cold, and there was no question of getting into trouble.
“I felt good, so I removed pressure, especially against a good punch as Robin and the height of Madrid, a tournament that is definitely faster than other places,” said the Swiss with the baseball cap backwards swoop and the smile on his face hanging. “I had not seen this plant before, only when I saw the concert by Lenny Kravitz. There is no wind. I understand that there are those who feel como’indoor, although I do not see it that way. I like the track,” he added. You can help to gain altitude to Rafael Nadal, “he asked. “With altitude or not, is simple: the earth is good for Rafa,” he replied. “His movements are impressive. It is always difficult to beat on the ground. Whenever I think I have a chance against him, although I have won the last final of Roland Garros with a painful outcome (6-1, 6-3 and 6-0) .
As Federer made that the plant lived his exciting first night, Andy Murray, the Scottish giant, was slow to fire Simone Bolelli (7-6 [9] and 6-4). Experts say that the number three in the world will impove the conditions of the tournament. That more than 600 meters above the sea, as in Madrid, it is almost impossible to break the service to a man of his stature (1.90 m). Nothing says physics that also favors that Murray, advised by Alex Corretja, improve the rest. The tight control of its outcome Bolelli rather the contrary. The punch, however, are days of relief: Ivo Karlovic, a tennis player for more than two meters, survived with a mallet that Julien Bennetteau (3-6, 7-6 (5) and 6-4).

Nadal won Melbourne tennis Masters – Roger Federer defeated in five sets

* The world number one Roger Federer defeated in five sets (7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6 and 6-2)
* First of a Spanish victory in Melbourne and sixth Grand Slam for the Balearic
MADRID .- It was exhausted adjectives, but the reality is immutable: Rafa Nadal rules the tennis world with all of the Act. He knows the world of clay, grass at Wimbledon, and today, the track lasts Melbourne. The world number one has won the Open on Sunday after giving Australia a final to remember. The Mallorcan tennis player has defeated his eternal enemy, Roger Federer in five sets (7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6 and 6-2) in four hours and 23 minutes of play. It was a tense duel, without quarter, the highest level, which showed that these two players are still moving, despite the emergence of rackets such as the Murray, Djokovic, Tsonga Verdasco or in another dimension.
It is the sixth Grand Slam in the curriculum of Rafa Nadal (to add the Wimbledon title this past year and four editions of Roland Garros), which brought down another wall is the first Spanish champion takes on the track in Melbourne. The Balearic thwarted dream project for Federer, who had brought this February 1 in the calendar as the date for its fourteenth conquering large and thus match those achieved by American Pete Sampras.
Juan Gisbert (1968), Andres Gimeno (1969) and Carlos Moya (1997) fell in the Australian final, but Nadal did not. Three of the last disputed Grad Slams have fallen into their hands: the number one left the U.S. Open to complete the ‘Rafa Slam’.
It is no secret that you do not want to see Federer or Nadal in painting ( “prefer to Verdasco,” admitted before the final) because they feared bad drinks from the first point. For something very serious Swiss appeared in Rod Laver Arena, almost pale. A few steps, walking with the number one martial step. The courtesy peloteo was the only one in mourning again exceptional. There were alternatives in the first set, which began sending Nadal quickly countered with a break for his opponent. Federer seemed at times capable of changing their fate: did handle the situation with authority, almost without errors, until finally a 4-2 that was nothing. Because Nadal is sticky, never disappears from the map. The Majorcan saved ball to his impossible, returned one after another, was allowed cool coups (majestic left in a key moment, with 5-5) and Federer fell prey to anxiety: not stepped forced errors, especially with the setback and falter in the first part (7-5).
In the second part, the first set Federer initialed blank ahead of the game for 2-1 and that was a sign of recovery of the Swiss, who shot a classmate to solve complicated situation. Nadal was ahead 3-2 after breaking the service of number two, but Federer won the match and build positive momentum in spite of the limited power of his service (48 per cent of ‘first’). Nadal, at that moment something out of the match, gave the key game in this set, the eighth, a marathon Deuces advantages and in which Federer had five break balls. With 5-3, Federer only had to finish the job. Started a new party.
A new party that had the air of the great duels between the top two rackets das balloon, which was not granted respite to the ‘tie break’ which solved the third set, the breadth of the most igualada final, which Nadal died and was resurrected several times as many. With 4-4 in part, Spanish saved four break balls in the ninth game, and as many in the eleventh. Federer, comfortable, with bright flashes, although not as consistent as in other oportudades left alive balear andalusia. Nadal returned to his opponent to get crazy, which granted the sudden death and was forced to comeback to win their fourteenth Grand Slam.
And the purpose of Federer seemed firm was ahead 0-2 in the fourth set, while Nadal seemed to know even his victory in the third. Nadal appeared to oppose resistance (2-2), but in vain. In the fifth game of the fourth sleeve, Nadal wasted four balls to break the Swiss service. Federer saved the furniture and broke immediately after the Spanish service. With the ghost of fatigue on the central planning of Melbourne (a disputed semifinal Nadal over 5 hours before Verdasco; Federer suffers in games so long before the Spanish), the match went the limit of the fifth set.
And indeed, this is the territory of a number, used to solve the games in the last frontier. The Mallorcan, with the sharp face, got a ‘break’ provicencial in the fourth game of the final sleeve. Federer revived the feelings of the recent Wimbledon and Roland Garros three previous despair loomed and nerves in his face and his game. Two wrongs do not force the Swiss paved the way for Nadal to 4-1. The penultimate opposition Federer, playing a blank, was replicated with another similar by the Mallorcan. 5-2 in the Swiss and despair, which ended down arms. Again, in its thirteenth andalusia Spanish defeat in 19 clashes. Central Melbourne on behalf of the legendary Rod Laver, terra incognita until today, was also taken by Nadal. Incontestable.
