There are times when the ephemeris can not be enjoyed as it should. Especially when they occur in the context of a basketball game and the outcome could favor or against the winner. In the case of Kobe Bryant, his visit to Cleveland was not the best place to celebrate your 25,000 points in the NBA.
Angeleno guard became the youngest player to reach that impressive figure (31 years and 151 days), surpassing the career ladder much as Wilt Chamberlain, who took 35 days to do so. But Kobe could not celebrate at home. The Cavaliers’ LeBron James (who had just received the good news of being the man voted for the ‘All Star’, with more than 2.5 million supporters) went to their beards and made good their role as leaders Eastern Conference (93-87). Furthermore, as the Christmas day gave another review at the Staples Center, have the field factor in their favor for a hypothetical final.
If you look at just the numbers, Bryant had 31 points in Ohio, but none of them in the decisive moments of the match. In the first half was maintained at good level, but the second went down (4 of15 shooting from the field) and disappeared. Even his second in-command, Pau Gasol, Shaquille O’Neal overwhelmed, unable to exercise this time of saving (13 points and 8 rebounds) and the Lakers gave a poor image in the beginning of what may be a terrible tour of eight parties on the other coast.
