LONDON .- The Burnley won promotion to the ‘Premier League’ imposed after the Sheffield United 1-0 in the final match of the ‘play-off for promotion.

Wade Elliott’s goal at 13 minutes of the match held at Wembley was enough for the Lancashire club to gain the victory and returned to class after 33 years after declining in 1976.

Burnley was the champion of the English League in 1921 and 1960, besides winning the Cup in England in 1914.

With his victory, joins Burnley Wolverhampton Wanderers and Birmingham, which had risen directly, without having to play the ‘play-off’ in the box that Lancashire had been imposed prior to Reading.

Meanwhile, Sheffield, which was eliminated in the previous round at Preston, who will fight for promotion again next year, which share class with West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough and Newcastle, descended from the ‘Premier League this season .
