The road to Olympic gold just got a lot tougher for the highly favored Canadian team at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, as their North American rivals outscrapped and outplayed them in the Olympic Preliminary Round. The win established Team USA as the #1 seed in the 12-team field that will compete for the Olympic hockey gold, and it should surprise absolutely no one that Team USA captain Jamie Langenbrunner (http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-hockey/athletes/jamie-langenbrunner_ath1024092WP.html) played a key role in his team’s victory. He was credited with the goal at 7:09 of the third period that was America’s fourth score and ended up being the difference in a hard-fought 5-3 win. For Langenbrunner, the New Jersey Devils’ star forward and recent addition to Supreme Protein’s Team Supreme, it was yet another clutch performance in a 12-year career full of such stellar moments.
